The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that supports your bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs and plays a central role in core stability and intimacy. When these muscles are weak, tight, or uncoordinated, symptoms follow: leaking with a sneeze or a run, a heaviness or bulge, pain with sitting or sex, or urgency that runs your day.

Treatment begins with a thorough evaluation of your posture, breathing, hips, core, and, with your consent, the pelvic floor itself. From there we use hands-on techniques, targeted strengthening or relaxation work, and education to restore function and confidence.

Pregnancy Physical Therapy

Low back painSI joint painSciaticaPubic symphysis painSafe exercise

Pregnancy asks a lot of your body, and pain is common, but it is not something you simply have to endure. Physical therapy during pregnancy addresses low back, hip, SI joint, and pubic bone pain, along with the shifting demands on your core and pelvic floor as your center of gravity changes.

Each plan is built around what you want to keep doing, whether that is walking the beach, lifting, or chasing a toddler, and around keeping small aches from becoming big ones. Most women start in the second trimester, but any point in pregnancy is a good time to begin.

Postpartum Physical Therapy

Birth is a major physical event, and recovery deserves more than a six-week check and a green light. Postpartum rehabilitation restores strength, addresses abdominal separation and scar tissue, retrains a pelvic floor that has been through a lot, and supports full healing whether you delivered vaginally or by C-section.

We start with breath and deep core, then layer in strength and impact at a pace your tissue can handle, until you are lifting, running, and carrying your baby without a second thought. Babies are always welcome at your appointment.

Think of it as training for the most physical day of your life. We work on pelvic floor relaxation and lengthening, labor and pushing positions that suit your body, breath strategies, perineal preparation, and a realistic picture of the first weeks after delivery, whether vaginal or by C-section.

Partners are encouraged to join so they can support you with confidence on the day.
